Medeama will be playing in their maiden African campaign after beating off competition from Asante Kotoko to win last year’s MTN FA Cup trophy at the Accra Sports Stadium.
By that triumph, Medeama qualified as one of two clubs to represent Ghana in the CAF Confederation Cup.
Medeama will take on Equatorial Guinean side, Panthers, in Malabo in the first leg of the first round of the competition on Sunday, February 9, 2014.
The Mauve and Yellows are currently preparing for Panthers of in their base in Takoradi.
Despite their maiden appearance in the continental competition, MTN believes Medeama has the ability to do well and make Ghana proud.
According to General Manager, Marketing Services of MTN, Richard Acheampong, nothing should stand in the way of Medeama as they attempt to conquer Africa.
