Ahead of the AFCON, Grant had dropped hints he may move on after the continental showpiece.
Grant guided the Black Stars to win silver at the 2015 Afcon and was in the helm of affairs at the recent Afcon 2017 tournament in Gabon where the team placed fourth.
According to the Israeli, he has “informed Mr Nyantakyi (GFA President) that time is right for me to move on to a new challenge and I thank him for the opportunity”.
The former head coach of Chelsea and Westham added that he is proud of “the fact that I’m leaving an extremely professional, strong squad of players of a good age, who I’m sure will go on to achieve great success in the future”.
For him, he will always remember the “passion and loyalty of the supporters”.
Grant signed a 27-month deal to take over from Maxwell Konadu in 2014.
